Alex lives in Ventura, which is close to
Santa Barbara but not as nice, with his wife Koreen. From the last Email (March 2002): Dave- Now that the movie E.T. is being re-released for its twentieth
anniversary, I thought I'd let you know that I'm considering ending my grudge
against you for making me see this stupid movie in the first place
("C'mon, it's a new movie and it's supposed to be science
fiction"). Now don't get your hopes up, because it probably won't
go your way, but there's still a chance. I know this is just the sort
of vague, limited hope you need to fight your way through the twenty-hour
workday. Well, I've had several "guaranteed" consulting jobs lately, which is another way of saying I've been sitting at home, trolling the net and waiting for the economy to recover. One of the really bad things about the Ventura area is that there really aren't very many "high tech" jobs around (there are more than there used to be, though that's not saying a lot). I think I still have the possibility of an integration job with a company out of Cambridge called SupplyWorks, though it turned out when I thought they wanted to hire me in January it was just to help them through the sales cycle (the integration would come if they get the sale and when the company gets around to implementing). |
