Shawn recently sent me the following information:
I really, really want to argue with you about that
"twenty years" thing. The only problem is, you're right, it's been twenty-plus
years. <wry smile>. It's hard for me to believe it most
days, but then I remember that I've been married nearly 16 years to Criss,
_after_ we dated for five years. Then I remember that my step-daughter is
celebrating her 31st birthday next week, and yeah, then I can believe it's been
twenty years. <laugh>
I'm sorry I didn't make it to the twenty year reunion -- I would have enjoyed
seeing you. I'm still in the Troy area, living in Albany, and working for a
company called MapInfo, founded by four RPI students and a local business man.
I don't game anymore, but still read everything I can get my hands on. My wife
and I both do community theatre, and tend to work on the same shows together,
when we can. I write a story every now and then to amuse myself (my wife talked
me into submitting a couple of them to a local science fiction convention
contest, and the prize money went to feed my reading habit. :-) Recently I've
taken up drawing as a stress reducer -- it's so completely different from my
day-to-day work that it has nearly drug-like effects.
Talk to you later!
Shawn
