January and February. Here we are getting ready to go to the Lion King, the musical loosely based on the Disney Animated Film of the same name. Except it's not. Loosely based, that is, it's exactly the same, word for word, scene for scene. But it was kind of cool to see how they did it, with a lot of very impressive costumes and mechanical devices to simulate, for instance, the Wilderbeast stampeded. Below, Will gets his Black Stripe (one more step to Black Belt). |
