Dickieville, July and August 2005 |
As summer falls behind us and
fall begins it's colorful and brisk transition into winter, here's a few
shots of what we did during the kids school break... which wasn't much
of anything. The kids did 3 days of tennis camp each week, and
hung out for the rest of the time. But we did have a few items of
note. |

Bill and
Janet Garber stopped for a visit after a church conference in
Saint Louis. They were planning on returning home
for a week, having tickets to a number of operas, then fly out
to Greece. No moss growing under those toes.
Unfortunately, Bill caught a bug so they had to skip the Greece
trip.
While they were here we
went to see the Fruitlands museum, a quaint collection of
buildings that display a variety of shaker, Native American, and
other historical items and art, and we did the annual fourth of
July celebration in North Acton Recreational Area (NARA) |

We did a
day trip to Six Flags New England, doing a few rides in the
morning, then spending most of the afternoon in the water park,
then returning to the rides. And, since I have the
space, here's a cool butterfly on our front path:

We had a
visit from Kyle and Shirley and their children, Ethan and Dana.
These shots are from the pool party at Bill's house. |
