Another couple of covid months behind us, a few more to go. January included dog sitting for Cooper, Will's dog, while he, Carley and his friends did a vaca in Turks and Caicos. Leaving the driveway looking like a used car lot and the bed rather crowded. We also had Alison's folks over for dinner for the first time since they moved to the East Coast as they settle into life at the Commons in Lincoln, a short 10 minute hop from our house. |

We visited Tower Hill Botanical Gardens mid-January with Rick and Elizabeth to see the "Yarnstorm" exhibit, where local artist dress up the trees, buildings, statues, and anything else sitting still long enough to yarnitize with paper mache. No, I mean yarn. You could buy "dog memberships" for your dogs, so Gigi and Zuzu (aka "Optimus Prime") came along for the ride. It's actually a much nicer facility that we were expecting, which lead to us going back a few weeks later, as you will see. |

And, of course, have to throw in a few pet shots, plus one "post snow" photo using the iphone low-light capability that we thought looked kind of cool. |

And back to the Botanical Gardens, with Brie, Aidan, and a lot more snow on the ground. Since Ireland is out as a wedding site for the second year due to the may-its-name-be-a-curse-forever covid, Brie and Aidan are thinking of doing a smaller ceremony in the states and a follow on in Ireland in 2022, so we thought this might be a good place to hold it. |

Valentines day, we did multi-fondue with Rick, Elizabeth, a fire, and a flurry of dog antics. Dobie retired to the bedroom in a bit of a huff. |

The last week in February, we did a "staycation" in Boston, staying at a suite at the Intercontinental on the Boston Harbor waterfront, having dinner at Mentons and the next evening at Smith and Wollensky. We pretty much did NOTHING and it was AWESOME. |
