| We didn't get to tour the royal palace, which is currently occupied
by the Royal family, but we did get to see the soldiers marching around
with machine guns and one of them dropping a magazine full of live
rounds on the ground. We also saw what was, we assume, some of the
Royals arriving and maybe departing based on the long motorcade with a
police escort. The main door in the center of the palace is actually a gateway that you can (and they did) drive a car and vans through; the building itself is U shaped, with a gated courtyard in the back where the vehicles parked; the shot below with the car is from the back of the building. We were pleased to see that the palace guard was made up of men and women. All heavily, heavily armed. |
