Aleath and Morgan are run by Jeff Goldsmith, who was my roommate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Jeff is one of the most brilliant mathematicians / programmers I've ever met. You've seen his work if you've seen the computer generated movie of the spacecraft Voyager flying by Saturn, which seems to show up with regularity on space science shows. He is known as "the optimizer."
Glorm and Delrin are run by Jeff Stern, who I met at RPI and who later rented a room from myself and Jeff Goldsmith in Los Angeles. Jeff Stern went on to Caltech to get a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, and currently works on developing Josephson Junctions (a kind of quantum electron tunneling superconductor based device) for use in Radiotelescopes for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Jeff is a true role player.
Krinn is played by Allison Maker, who graduated from UCLA with a combined MBA / Law degree, and is currently some kind of research lawyer. Allison and Jeff Stern are married. Allison is not big on FRP, but liked the creative aspects of the PBEM game.
Tristan and Aron are run by Rob Hendrie, another old RPI friend (is this becoming a theme?). He is working for Bay Networks, who recently purchased the startup (New Oak) he was/is working at.
El Sid and the Don (I could never figure out if it was supposed to be the Dom, since the full name is Dom Perignon...) are run by Barry Maurer, a MD in Los Angeles. Barry is highly intelligent, extremely conservative, and the most chaotic player I have ever met (not necessarily evil, mind you... just off the wall / random / crazy). He makes the games much more interesting because you (and the other players) never know which way he will jump.
Tanaka and Fuji are run by my brother, Bill Dickie. Bill works for DEC, now Compaq. You'll notice in the following write-ups that Bill took his character's culture and ran with it. The events described in the conversations with Tanaka and Fuji were all part of the opening scenario materials, but the entire bit about the Sa Kajok and Sa Mahul was all his.
